Bokaro Steel Plant, invites application for Bokaro General Hospital(BGH), a 910 bedded multi-specialty hospital, run by SAIL/ Bokaro Steel Plant from qualified Doctors (including retired Doctors) to appear in the ‘Walk-in-Interview’ for engagement as General Duty Medical Officers (GDMO) with the following specifications/ terms & conditions

Who can apply -
a) Interested & eligible candidates having requisite qualifications can walk-in for selection interview at the scheduled date, time & venue.
b) Ex-employees of SAIL Plants/ Units and other PSUs/ Govt. can also apply, provided, they have not separated by opting for voluntary retirement. The exemployee doctors will have to provide self-certificate in this regard.

Age limit - 69 years as on date of advertisement i.e. 03.05.2023. The upper age limit for contractual engagement under this Scheme is 70 years. However, the doctors to be engaged should be medically fit to perform his/her duty.
Essential Qualification - GDMO - MBBS from a University/ Institute recognized by Medical Council of India/ National Board of Examination/ National Medical Commission
Rate of Consolidated Remuneration - ₹ 90,000/- per month

Job Description - To work in various departments of Medical and Health Services (M&HS) as and when required. The doctors shall perform such work and service as entrusted to them and attend to their work regularly for a minimum of 8 hours a day for six days in a week or 48 hours a week. However, if engagement is for less than 8 hours per day/ 48 hours a week, the rates shall be pro-rated accordingly.
Selection Process -
a) Through “Walk-in-Interview” followed by a medical screening.
b) Engagement will start immediately after the selection of the candidate is completed and orders are issued for engagement.
c) Candidates responding to the advertisement for "ENGAGEMENT OF DOCTORS IN BOKARO GENERAL HOSPITAL ON CONTRACT BASIS" will have to download the Application Form (Annexure I) and submit the duly-filled application form along with the listed supporting documents at the time of ‘Walk-in-Interview’. No other mode of application will be accepted

GENERAL CONDITIONS: -
1. Candidate must be an Indian national possessing requisite qualification from an institute recognized by MCI/NMC/NBE and having valid practitioner licence.
2. Eligible & interested candidates may attend the walk in interview on the above date, time & venue along with following documents (original + 1 set of self-attested photocopies):

- a) Filled in application format (Annexure-I) with one additional passport size recent colour photograph.
- b) Pass certificate & mark sheets for educational qualification.
- c) Experience Certificate (as applicable) showing relevant post qualification experience from the employer (In case of retired employees, service certificate issued by the parent organization should be given.
- d) Proof of date of birth (Matriculation pass certificate of recognized Board).
- e) Valid Registration Certificate issued by any State Medical Council/ MCI/NMC/NBE.
- f) Photo Identity Proof (Voter ID/ PAN/ Aadhar Card/ Driving License/ Passport).
3. All certificates & documents in support of eligibility will be verified only during ‘Walk-in-Interview’ and any candidate who fails to produce the same will not be allowed to appear at the interview. Therefore candidates are required to ensure their eligibility before appearing in the ‘Walk-in-Interview’.
4. The Doctors engaged under this scheme shall be eligible for Maternity leave as per Maternity Benefit Act, 1961 subject to fulfilment of conditions stipulated in the Maternity Benefit Act, 1961.
5. The contractual engagement under the Scheme can be terminated by giving one months' notice by either party. However, in case of poor performance, moral turpitude, conviction by Court of Law, insolvency, loss of licence to practice, grave misconduct of financial irregularity and if there is evidence of the Doctor being medically unfit and likely to continue for a considerable period of time and cannot discharge normal duty hours, the contract can be terminated by the company.
4. The Doctors engaged under this scheme shall be eligible for Maternity leave as per Maternity Benefit Act, 1961 subject to fulfilment of conditions stipulated in the Maternity Benefit Act, 1961.
5. The contractual engagement under the Scheme can be terminated by giving one months' notice by either party. 6. No TA/ DA will be paid for attending ‘Walk-in-Interview’ / selection process.
7. The engagement is purely on "contractual basis" and is not to be construed as giving rise to any right of regular appointment in BSL in any manner whatsoever.
9. SAIL, BSL reserves the sole authority to consider the cases as per its rules and decision of BSL in this regard shall be firm & binding.
10. SAIL, BSL reserves the right to reject any application or cancel the candidature or the whole process of interview or engage less than the numbers of doctors indicated above, without assigning any reason thereof and no enquiry or correspondence will be entertained in this connection. The decision of the BSL for this purpose shall be final and binding.
11. Candidature of an applicant is liable to be rejected at any stage of the selection process or after selection, if any information provided by the candidate is found to be false or is found not to be in conformity with requisite eligibility criteria mentioned in the advertisement.
12. In case of any dispute on interpretation of any part of this advertisement, howsoever arising, the decision of the Company shall be final and binding.
13. Court of jurisdiction for any dispute will be at Bokaro Steel City, Jharkhand.
